Graduated at FY2012: Health and Sports Science

仙台出身です。猪岡先生（現東北大学名誉教授、当時は東北大学大学院情報科学研究科長）と永富先生の協力のもと、ヘルスケア機器に関する研究を行い、ベンチャー企業を設立し事業化を行いました。その後、一関高専の教員となり、医工学に関する研究、学生指導を行っています。

I am from Sendai. With the cooperation of Prof. Inooka (Professor Emeritus at Tohoku University, former Dean of the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology) and Prof. Nagatomi, I researched healthcare devices. I then established a venture company to commercialize it. After that, I joined the National Institute of Technology, Ichinoseki College, where I am researching medical engineering and teaching students.

東北大学先進医工学研究機構（TUBERO）主催のセミナーで、医工学をやるには、個人で医学と工学を連携する必要があるという話を聞き、その後、東北大学大学院医工学研究科が創設され、これは、医工学を学ぶ絶好の機会と思い、入学しました。

At a Tohoku University Biomedical Engineering Research Organization (TUBERO) seminar, I heard about the need to integrate between medicine and engineering by individuals to do biomedical engineering. Later, when the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering was established at Tohoku University, I enrolled in the graduate school because I thought this would be an excellent opportunity to study biomedical engineering.

At the National Institute of Technology, Ichinoseki College, I have started the Human Medical Engineering Laboratory. I am now conducting daily research with college students. Our research topics are as follows: Estimation of non-stationary energy consumption. Prediction and prevention of frailty and dementia. Research and development of sensors for car sickness. 特に、中学生のみなさんへ。進路は色々な道があります。高校ー＞大学ー＞大学院だけではありません。一関高専で医工学の基礎を学び、東北大学医工学研究科へ進学し世界トップの研究を行う、という道もあります。

I would like to say to students, especially to junior high school students. There are many ways. It is not the only way that you enter university and graduate school from high school. You can study the basics of medical engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Ichinoseki College, and then enter Tohoku University Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering to conduct world-leading research.
