Grant-in-Aid for Exploratory Research approved!
The application for the FY2022 Grant-in-Aid for Exploratory Research, “Establishment of an Innovative Method for Determining the Neutron Distribution Radius of Nuclei by Low-Energy Electron Elastic Scattering” has been accepted!
This is the world’s first trial to extract information on the neutron distribution radius from the fourth-order moment of the charge density distribution by low-energy electron scattering based on the following 3 papers.
This research will be carried out using the measurement device for determining the proton charge radius by the lowest-energy electron scattering ever constructed by two Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (S) (2015-, 2020-)). Low-energy 208Pb(e,e’) experiments will be performed at Research Center for Electron-Photon Science, Tohoku University.
